Built for professional practice

Everything in one cloud workspace — not a patchwork of spreadsheets and single-user GIS scripts.

A complete H&H studio

Catchment, rainfall, runoff, and hydraulics tools in one place — plus frequency analysis and safety workflows when you need them.

Cloud-native — no installs

Run professional hydrology and hydraulics in the browser. Share consistent inputs and outputs across your team.

Design-grade exports

Word, Excel, and GIS outputs structured for deliverables — no copy-paste report assembly.

Custom engineering & integrations

Need bespoke software, QGIS plugins, H&H stack integrations, or dashboards for your agency? We build alongside Delta Hydro Studio. For traditional consulting studies, our practice lives at deltahydro.co.za.

Frequency & data

QRT Calculator

Quantile regression techniques for flood estimation at ungauged sites using catchment attributes and regionalized predictors.

Rainfall

Design Rainfall

Depth–duration–frequency (DDF) estimates and IDF-style curves from regional models and international datasets, plus user data import where needed.

Rainfall

Daily Rainfall Statistics

Explore and download historical daily rainfall records for South African stations and selected international sources.

From map click to Word report

Four steps your reviewers can follow — with the audit trail they expect.

Step 1

Define the site context

Drop a pin, trace a reach, or upload a boundary — the map stays connected across tools.

Step 2

Run the linked steps

Catchment → rainfall → runoff → hydraulics, with guided inputs and repeatable defaults.

Step 3

QA with transparency

Charts, intermediate tables, and methodology notes stay visible for peer review.

Step 4

Export deliverables

Generate structured tables and exports your CAD/GIS and report packs can consume.

Why teams leave spreadsheets behind

Honest comparison pages cover speed, collaboration, standards coverage, and where desktop GIS still wins — so you can choose the right stack for each job.

Frequently asked questions

Is Delta Hydro Studio only for South Africa? +
No. The studio is built as a global H&H toolbox. South African regional methods are included where local guidance applies, but most workflows are location-agnostic.
Do I install desktop GIS or HEC-RAS to use it? +
No local installs are required for the core workflows. You work in the browser and export to the formats your CAD/GIS stack already accepts.
What does “Start free” include? +
You can register on the Stream plan to explore tools with credits. Several hydraulic and delineation tools remain accessible without a paid subscription.
Where is documentation? +
The full knowledge base — methodology notes, parameters, limitations, and worked examples — is available inside the studio for signed-in users. Book a demo if you would like a guided tour first.
How does billing work? +
Subscriptions and credit top-ups are handled inside the studio via Paddle. See the pricing page for tiers in multiple currencies.
Can teams share credits? +
Yes. Team plans use a shared credit pool with admin controls — ideal for practices that run many studies per month.
